La Liga president claims Barcelona can't afford to sign Robert Lewandowski

Discussing Barcelona's financial condition, La Liga president Javier Tebas said in an interview quoted by Marca: "The numbers are very easy, you have over €500 million losses in the last two years, you have to recover that to sign players.

"[Robert] Lewandowski has a year left at Bayern Munich, between what he wants to earn and what Bayern want as a fee, I don't see him at Barcelona."

Barca had to famously bid adieu to Lionel Messi after failing to ratify an extension on his contract.

Finances are tight for the Catalan giants but they continue to be linked strongly with signing Lewandowski.

The Polish striker, 33, has reportedly been offered a €9 million-per-year by Barca.
