𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌: Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt as Benzema and others seek super cup glory

GOOD EVENING and welcome to the 2022 UEFA Super Cup clash between Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and Bundesliga side Eintratch Frankfurt, which will go down at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium in Finland.

This tie is the prelude to the start of the European continental campaign in which the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League for 2022/2023 shall be contested.

Both teams enjoyed varying degrees of success last term. Real Madrid were kings of La Liga and completed the double by adding the UCL, following a slim 1-0 win against Liverpool in Paris. As for Eintratch Frankfurt, they finished 11th in the German Bundesliga but managed to win the UEL by defeating Rangers via penalties.
